Leo Villador: Fil-Am Pioneer in Fine Art
In celebration of Filipino American History month, the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco will be honoring the late Leo Villador(1936-1989). Leo, a Filipino-American painter born and raised in the Fillmore District of San Francisco,was considered to be a pioneer of the "hard edge" painting style. There will be a roundtable discussion from Fil-Am artists, authors, and performers about Leo's major influence in art and the current and future direction of Fil-Am Fine art.
