October is Filipino American History Month

In 1988, the Filipino American National Historical Society established that year to be the 225th Anniversary of the Permanent Settlement of Filipinos in America.The earliest documented proof of Filipino presence in America was in October of 1587. So let's celebrate our heritage and culture and pay tribute to all the Filipino Americans who came before us and made countless contributions to this Nation!
